Privacy Policy

Text Quiver is designed to work locally in your browser. This privacy policy describes the data practices of the Text Quiver browser extension.

1. Information Text Quiver stores

Text Quiver stores the snippets, categories, settings, and site-access choices that you create. This information is stored locally in your browser using the browser extension storage system.

Text Quiver does not provide cloud synchronization and does not send your snippets to Text Quiver, textquiver.com, or any third-party service.

2. Website access

Text Quiver can insert saved snippets into editable fields on websites. For ongoing toolbar insertion, Text Quiver asks you to grant access to a specific website. The extension uses that access to remember the editable field you select and to insert the snippet you choose.

Text Quiver does not transmit or retain the contents of webpages you visit. You can remove previously granted site access from Text Quiver's settings or through your browser's extension settings.

3. Data collection and sharing

Text Quiver does not:

• collect browsing history;
• collect or transmit webpage content;
• collect passwords or payment information;
• use analytics or tracking technologies;
• show advertising;
• sell or share personal information; or
• send extension data to external servers.

4. Imports and exports

If you use Text Quiver's export feature, the extension creates a JSON backup file on your device. If you use the import feature, Text Quiver reads the file you choose so it can restore or merge snippets. These files remain under your control and are not uploaded by Text Quiver.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your extension data remains in your browser until you delete individual snippets, use the Clear all feature, clear extension data through your browser, or uninstall the extension. Browser behavior may vary.

6. Security

Text Quiver minimizes data exposure by storing extension data locally and by requesting ongoing website access only when you choose to enable it for a site. Local browser storage is not a substitute for encrypted secret storage, so Text Quiver should not be used to store passwords or other highly sensitive credentials.

7. Third parties

Text Quiver does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud-storage services. Your browser and any websites you visit operate under their own privacy policies.

8. Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at textquiver.com/privacy/.
